Thank you for your participation in Meganet's challenges. We are sorry we can not reply to every e-mail. We are overwhelmed with the amounts of participants and can not handle answering each e-mail individually. We have created this page to answer the most common questions and give a clue about the challenge solution. We hope this will answer your questions.

First Clue: the solution is a valid windows file with a valid content. It is an image formatted as .gif
If your solution is not an (gif) image, you have the wrong solution!
Once you decrypt the file, change it's extension to .gif, and see if you got an image. If so, send us the results, if not, keep trying.

Second Clue: we have used all password fields, config. field and 1 million bit key field.
If your solution is not using all of these parameters, chances are your solution is wrong.
Creating unbreakable sessions depends not only on the algorithm used, the user interface can be compromised by guessing the passwords, therefore, when encrypting a file be sure to use multiple passwords. 

Third Clue: the file size of the solution must be 256bytes smaller than the challenge file size.
If your solution is not this size, you have wrong solution.
The VME engine adds a 256bytes to the original file size. 

We got a lot of:
"Transaction Completed Successfully" 
(Transaction Code: ... Authentication Code ...) - This does not mean have the solution. 
This only indicate that a decryption process have been completed successfully, in most cases the Transaction Code and Authentication Code will be wrong, therefore, giving you correct decryption process message but with an invalid solution due to lack of right keys.
In the case where the codes are right, if you get the an image, you may have the solution...
At the end of the solution, we will post the results, including the correct Transaction Code and Authentication Code.

Further common questions answered:
- You can use as much computing process as you want (or afford).
- For all you expert mathematicians, in most cases we understand the math behind your e-mail, but the solution is not theoretical, to win the car you need to send the solution.
- The solution is NOT a text file.
- The codes solely are NOT the solution.
- Other than the T7 countries, anyone from anywhere in the world can participate in the challenge.
- You can use any machines you would like.

The term of the challenge expires 5:00pm August 31, 2002 Pacific Standard Time.

At the end of the challenge we will post the solution on this site. Using the vme02x32.exe and the correct keys, you will be able to decipher the challenge ON YOUR COMPUTER!, Therefore authenticating the challenge validity.
